
I can live without any reboots, but if you are going to have them, they need to be approached with some consideration of how the previous incarnation did things — or they need to totally diverge from that template. All in or all out, but half-arsing it either way is a disservice to something that you loved.
Apparently Sarah Michelle Gellar wants to bring everyone back according to some click-bait headline I didn’t want to jump feet first into.
I loved Buffy, and I loved the way it ended — same with Angel.
Does everyone mean Joss Whedon? Maybe he could be a writer and steer clear of interacting with people, if he is still radioactive. But his inclusion might cause others to steer clear, who I’d hate to see recast.
You need Willow, Xander and Cordelia. You need Spike and Angel. Maybe you don’t — not if you’re going for something new, but a reboot with most of the original cast and some missing, would be weird.
You always hope for something as good as the Twin Peaks sequel series, but something that great is rare.
