Looking Forward: 12 Years A Slave (2013) by Steve McQueen

Out of the films I have been seeing that are coming out this one has Oscar-worthy stamped all over it. The cast looks amazing and the story really does seem to be very compelling – so much so that I am considering hunting down the book.

I am sure it will have some kind of controversy attached to it just because of what it\’s about it, and what a great climate it will be released into. but I am excited purely to see it and judge it on its own merits. Is it a good film? Does it tell an interesting story? Does it communicate?
