Looking Forward: Sin City – A Dame To Kill For (2014) Frank Miller & Robert Rodriguez

Sin City seems to be one of those films that divides people – I loved it; but then I loved the comic books, so I don\’t know if I was pre-programmed for reception of the sensibilities of the movie. I think film-wise it also offers something interesting and the idea of the comics as a tribute to the pulp fiction of the past works just as well if you recognise the analagous way in which the first movie nods to the noir that is its forebear.

So, this film is likely to tick the same boxes too, and to be interesting to the same people. Good – well, I just think it is a shame it took so long.
