I love this show. I have landed on these seasons and binged them as soon as they land. Issa Rae is amazing. I love Issa, Molly, Kelli, Tiffany, Lawrence. I love all the characters.
The show is able to be both human and funny and to touch on some really serious issues. The cinematography and the creative choices made with this show have really been inspiring.
I\’m going to miss it, but it did get a great ending. I don\’t know if it is the ending I was expecting. I have to be honest, I\’m not sure I ever knew what direction the show was going to jump in. That makes it feel more like life. This show was alive.
It\’s interesting that no matter what decision the characters made, they always felt real. You could see why the characters broke up and got back together or remained apart, and this show gave enough space for each of them to breathe. The main characters and the recurring cast members all got arcs that wove into each other nicely.
As someone who writes, any show that pushes you and makes you think about your own craft, is to me a great show.
Whatever Issa Rae or any of the other creatives on this show move onto, I am going to be following them.
