Comedy is often the best way to digest your political news, because the whole thing is structured in such way that you get a laugh at the end.
Is the Asian American viewpoint under-represented, or is it just something I personally have been under-exposed to? I can\’t answer to that, other than to say it is refreshing to hear viewpoints that don\’t necessarily push facts at your from a simple bi-partisan platform. Where does one go to get these viewpoints anyway, if one is outside of the culture they derive from? I keep an eye out.
Obviously, Hasan is going to be grouped with the Liberal media elite, but it is something that is finer grained than the broad strokes of those under the spotlight might care to think with.
We open with Affirmative Action and move onto Saudi Arabia, and both episodes had something in them I didn\’t know about, which is what you want. I now have a platform on which to construct my own view on what each of these areas involves, and it was delivered in the right way, so all the data didn\’t hit me in an overwhelming manner. Between this show and Anthony Bourdain, and my own researches, I might arrive at a more informed picture of world politics.
I would definitely recommend this, and I\’m interested to see where it goes from here.
