Not having had much money or time to travel in recent years and living in a fairly closed-minded place, I have had to struggle to meet people whose minds are opening up to the world and closing down to a pinpoint, which is why, having joined a few on-line writing forums and communities I am happy to say that my diet of good conversation has greatly improved.
It is like a return to my university days where I could sit up late into the night with other people and talk about the big issues.
This is not to say that i don\’t have friends in my life thatI can do this with but the fact that different time zones mean people are always awake is great for an insomniac — your unsocial hours don\’t seem quite so anti-social anymore.
