Would that have changed my mind about wanting to see it? Probably not. I had a similar attitude to it as Seth Rogen in <em>The Studio<\/em> and his Kool Aid movie he had to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I was wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It had a similar feel to <em>Red One<\/em>, which I similarly expected nothing from, and which made me laugh, and I cared about the characters, and I just enjoyed the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Best line of the movie was spoken by Jennifer Coolidge &#8212; you will know the one I am talking about as soon as you hear it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the winning formula for this movie was building the thing around Jack Black. It&#8217;s kind of like if Jack Black was a place, the Overworld would be it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makes me want a sequel to <em>Be Kind Rewind.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jason Momoa is solid &#8212; I like him in these kind of roles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t know the Minecraft movie was directed by the director of Napoleon Dynamite and Gentlemen Broncos.
