Current Projects

I aim to provide a listing of everything I’m working on here for those interested, and the state of play for each project.

Around A Fixed Point

This is the first book project that was launched on the Expire-E site and explores notions of stasis and stability and their interplay. At the time of writing this book is probably about a quarter done.

Cruise See Fiction

Cruise See Fiction was born in the moment I saw a sudden reversal of a church’s position on the dinosaurs which coupled Jesus and dinosaurs in a cynical attempt to hoodwink kids into coming to church. This book is only really just beginning.

Grooptalk

Grooptalk is the exploration of the psyches of a seriously fucked up bunch of people involved in group therapy. Am trying to get all of these sites on a regular footing and this one will be brought to task.

I Am A Bastard Poet

I intend this site to be the home of a whole imprint of titles which have a wholly spiky attitude. This is a permanent fixture in the line-up.

Loose Change & Notes

Loose Change & Notes is the big sister to Maya’s Pace and Faith Book and has its home on Goodreads, which is a great site for readers and independent authors alike. This is probably the more free-ranging of these three books and is the furthest along. They are kindred spirits to the Expire-E books in that they have a limited online life and will eventually become books.

Maya’s Pace

Maya’s Pace is a sister project to Faith Book running on, yes, you guessed it Myspace. Using my blog, which had kind of fallen by the wayside I am writing a book of poetry based around the idea of Maya or illusion.

Midas City

Normal service should resume shortly. I envisage the setting of Midas City being a place I can return once this arc is completed – this arc being a Fifty Part Story if all goes to plan; a fifty part story that is told in approximately thousand word updates. I am not sure if every story based in this place will rest so heavily upon time travel either.

925 Grind

Welcome to the working week – a paean to the wage slaves.

One Forty: Words

One Forty: Words is the result of looking for an interesting way to use twitter. Short poems that fit within 140 characters that feed-dumps from twitter onto this tumblr site.

Peripheral Kingdom

Peripheral Kingdom is my big stab at magic and mythical creatures. Well, not my only one – but I think it has a distinct flavour and I am enjoying writing it. No idea how long this one might be but it should be back on course soon.

Phase Buck

A project utilising the notes posted on facebook to construct a book of poetry. The title is of course a pun on facebook. This will, like all my projects, be available through Lulu once complete. I am trying to use this book to explore notions of faith and my own spiritual growth.

Random Bullshit Arcline Burning

Second of the double-barrelled assault on poetry using Tumblr – much more haphazard and out of control than its companion.

Reading Diaries

A textual soap opera that introduces us to an interesting bunch of misfits. Has been on hiatus but will be resuming shortly.

Sixteen Flaws

Sixteen Flaws had been on hiatus for a while but is now on a regular update schedule – I am currently populating the sixth floor and should be able to keep up the rate of one room a day. This one could run indefinitely and it’s shape will become more visible once we have finished introducing all the characters which consists of an absurdly large cast.

Tumble Err

The first of two intended books using the Tumblr platform – it deals with notions of collapse; a dream that falls through the head of Icarus. The youngest set of which Faith Book and Maya’s Pace are examples.

Vatic Drive

This book is all about the driving force of inspiration as evidenced in the work and thoughts of prophets. I hope it conveys a really positive outlook and energy.  It is possibly half complete at the moment, all depending how it feels when the update schedule brings me up to speed.
